Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls,
congratulations are in order! I've been banned from my first
forum ever! That's right, I've been banned from CBQ by the
PopSyndicate moderators, without so much as an e-mail warning me, for
using the term "f*uckery". :-)
Here are the
posts that did it, on page 6 of "THE QUEERIES" thread.
Note that PopSyndicate started censoring the 3 words fuck,
cunt, and cock shortly after they started hosting CBQ.
They visually replace them with [dirty word] when you read the
thread -- but you can still see the original word if you Quote the
person's post. I very politely questioned the new policy, as
did ANTiFanboy Jon, but it stayed, and we've been using deliberate
misspellings in the forum ever since, like "f*uck" or
"c*ock" and no one has ever complained or forbidden us from
doing it. So CBQ poster "merboy" posts the term
"fuckery", in the following exchange, and encounters the
censor for the first time; "Dedagda", I'm guessing, is the
site owner...br
I'm so proud! :-)
I think there’s a Margaret Cho sketch about it that makes me laugh so much. She says nobody has the right to call each other faggot or other dirty words unless it’s a term of endearment, and she scrunches up her face and puts her finger in her mouth all coy-like, it’s so funny to watch.

I’m a big fan of using
“forbidden” words—the more you use them casually, or favorably,
the more it removes their power. We’ve co-opted “queer”
as a neutral/positive term… I’m good with faggot being the next
target.
Then our inclusive acronym can become LGBTAQF, the next step in the
march to include every letter of the alphabet.

I concur, faggotry is one of my favourite words, right next to [dirty word] (thank you Amy Winehouse!)

Ive just realised i cant actually say [dirty word] on the forum. You’re just going to have to give the album a spin.
The following post was deleted by the moderator -- who then, strangely, quoted it later, perhaps not appreciating that both deleting it and quoting was a bit counter-productive:
I like “f*uckery"… I’m
going to have to start using that one.
One always enjoys the
opportunity to expands one’s vocabulary. :-)

It’s just the sweet intro to that song
and then..."what kind of fcukery is this?!”...man i wish i had
a boyfriend so he could cheat on me so I could catch him in bed with
someone and I could say that....
....or something
I’ve made the decision. You can talk with Chrischris or Stefan, but
its my decision. It’s not about witty reparte or ribaldry. Its the
lack of respect and ignoring the decency of the forum. Your language
is offensive to the moderators. You are banned.
And to think we’re the podcasters
that beat the Mike Hunt joke deep, deep into the ground…
